The October Man (1947) is a British crime film starring John Mills. The main drawcard is that it was produced and written by Eric Ambler. It's a fine psychological suspense thriller with some hints of noir.

Watched Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train (1951) yet again and I'm still impressed by its technical perfection. And I'm noticing the subtle and disturbing touches of moral ambiguity. A great movie and an interesting one.

Luciano Ercoli’s The Forbidden Photos of a Lady Above Suspicion (1970) is a kind of giallo although to be more accurate it's a giallo-esque suspense crime thriller.

Well-crafted, looks good and by giallo standards the plot makes perfect sense and the solution is clearly explained. Entertaining but lacks the stylistic flourishes I look for in a giallo.
