    Today is April 26th, aka "Alien Day". As I am a fan of the Alien movies (well the first 2), and some of the games, I will post some stuff today.

    Let's start with the last good Alien media, Alien:Isolation. Humble Bundle has an Alien Day promo for the game (yeah I just casually disregard Colonial Marines and the last AvP gameI, which is really nice!

    You only need the Collection stuff of Alien: Isolation as this has the main game and all the DLCs. The DLCs are not afterthought.

    The original crew of the Alien all came back to reprise their role, except Ian Holm, who was already ill at that point (Rest in Peace). And we can choose who we play as in many scenarios. Other then that the game has survivor mode, where we have to collect stuff while the alien is on our ass.

    The main game has a nice story, essentially it completes the Alien story to a trilogy, since it plays between Alien and Aliens. We play as Amanda Ripley (Ellen's daughter), try to find Ripley and finally after many years she got a solid lead about her mother. But of course we are getting into a little bit of trouble.

    The game has fantastic atmosphere and it's like that we are in the first movie. There are limited cutscenes, and not much handholding. Expect more stealth and surviving (crafting items, sneaking, etc.), and less running with guns.

    Luckily the Alien's AI is smart, and not much scripted stuff going on, which means that the game has great replay value. I recommend Hard difficulty for any players, and this is devs' recommendation too. The music is spot on. The AI is one tought sob, and no wonder that IGN and Gamespot gave the score 5.9/10, cause the "Alien is too unpredictable". Journalism from 2014 ladies and gentlemen.

    Anyway, go buy the game, you will have many hours of gameplay. If you are a fan of "Alien", you will love this game!

    I also recommend this game to stealth fans, it has great sound effects, and good gameplay mechanics.
