Someone asked about #survey options other than #Google, #SurveyMonkey, etc.

I just completed a volunteer form for a local group in #jotform.

@wikipedia says they were founded in 2006, and my search for "jotform breach" found no evidence of any breaches, *and* a statement from Jotform about a vulnerability.

The vulnerability didn't affect their codebase because they didn't use the specific library. They said they were working to ensure that any third-parties they worked with secured their codebases, too.

Für nicht-datenschutzfreundlich nehmen wir #surveymonkey als willkürliches Beispiel. Wenn Leute gemeinsam eine Umfrage nutzen, bleibt diese Info nicht bei dieser US-Firma alleine, sondern informiert immer auch #google, #cloudfront, #onetrust und weitere Drittfirmen.

I love it that Flutracking sends you a certificate at the end of each flu season, thanking you for participating. Then they offer you the opportunity to take a break over the next few months or continue. If I didn’t do this every Monday morning then I would be at a loss - see how easily I have been conditioned!!!!

Does anyone know an easy way to create a chart in #Excel that shows BOTH percentages and absolute values? My data is from #SurveyMonkey, but it will only let me export a chart that shows respondent number OR percentages. Basically, all I want to do is have the y-axis be percentages but each column’s data labels include both percentages and values.

Does anyone know a better survey tool than survey monkey? The IPs they use are block listed - sending to spam. For one survey a year to a small number of users, I don’t want to use their enterprise plan 🙄#survey #email #surveymonkey

Because it runs entirely on your Nextcloud, the data never goes anywhere else, and there are no ads or trackers.

It's a good privacy-friendly alternative to Google Forms or SurveyMonkey.

LimeSurvey – a free and open source self-hosted alternative to SurveyMonkey

LimeSurvey allows users to quickly create intuitive, powerful online forms and surveys that can work for anyone from small business to large business. The survey software is self-guiding for the respondents. They have a cloud hosted option with free and paid tiers, much the same as SurveyMonkey, but there is also the Community Edition which is fully free and open source software which you can self-host. Apart from the freedoms that brings, it also means that any respondent data is also free from tracking and data mining by any 3rd parties.

In this video I tour through a sample survey that I created, where I run through the survey options, I also show how easily a new survey with questions can be started, and I end off with a run through the various general menu configuration options.

So far I've only seen #SurveyMonkey make note of its ability to create #accessible surveys online, though it's not their default behavior. By default, even SurveyMonkey makes their surveys inaccessible. Which is surprising as they boast compliance with #Section508 and #WCAG.
