Me about many Syfy shows that get canceled after a two or three seasons.
I can’t even get my science fiction and fantasy loving family to give them a chance in many cases.
Most of these shows are made in Canada or Europe under coproduction deals. Syfy drags on renewal decisions each year and their international distribution, that would make the shows viable, becomes increasingly uncertain with each season.

This house is not AI, but it kind of looks like AI, b/c at first glance it looks nice, but when you really look at it and think about how you move through the space, you begin to feel unsettled. Like, why is that elbow turned that way? Why would I want to take a bath between two sinks? WTF is dividing the kitchen and the Butler’s pantry? 😩 😝
This is what happens when builders try to be architects/designers!

For almost all of us who missed it, SurrealEstate S3 premieres today at 10 pm EDT in North America.
It’s a great little spooky sci-fi horror show with a great, diverse cast. Just the quirky Canadian thing to wryly lighten our viewing.
Who starts promoting a season premiere the week it takes place?!!
(No, an ‘AOL exclusive’ and a Syfy blog page a month ahead isn’t getting the word out.)
I’ve been waiting for this for a year with no updates from either CTV or Syfy. One would think they wished the show would fail…
But it shouldn’t. It deserves all its viewership and fans in North America, Latin America and Europe.

Here’s a short interview with Tim Rozon that I’d missed.
Hadn’t realized he has a role in ‘Law and Order Toronto’. In a weird coincidence that character is named Roman Rush, while in SurrealEstate he’s in the principal role of Luke Roman.
Law and Order isn’t a franchise I have any interest in, but I might check it out for Rozon and for Toronto getting to be itself.
And it turns out he’s also in a main role in the upcoming movie ‘Calamity Jane’ and reprises his role in the 90-minute Wynonna Earp special coming to Tubi.

@shopbot @phildini #gaslit is pretty good, #outlander is still going strong, #shiningvale is a great genre bender. #Yellowjackets is between seasons now but worth checking out and #surrealestate got unfairly cancelled but is probably the best show of 2021-2022.
