I'll admit there is something fascinating in seeing Jimbo trying to explain to a bunch of Wikimedians that he's totally supporting the right to unionise, he knows what signing a card for a union means, he trusts that the process was done correctly but he * checks notes * uhh wants to follow traditional antiunion practices.
But he's not antiunion! You have to assume good faith even if the acts are in contradiction with the words!
He gets fact-checked every message and now some people are even trying to explain to him what "good faith" means XD

If a supermajority of your workers ask for a union, it means that if it goes to actual vote there is basically no way for the union not to pass.
Since the Foundation likes to draw parallels to Wiki practices, this is the equivalent of closing a vote before the stated usual end time because the consensus is so overwhelming keeping it open is only making everyone lose time.
There is simply no way refusing to voluntarily recognise the @wwu is "good faith" negotiating. #SupportWikiUnion

The Foundation just refused to voluntarily recognise the @wwu forcing the process to take longer, while the WWU has announced a supermajority of eligible workers.
This means only one thing: the Foundation is playing for time, and following the most textbook of anti-union practices #SupportWikiUnion
