CD's are very important, because there are still a lot of albums that can't be purchased for digital download (FLAC etc).

Bandcamp has been a great experience, and it allows direct connection between musicians and their fans. Music tags and album art is always high quality. Easy to import into Jellyfin.

I use Qobuz when Bandcamp doesn't have it. High quality downloads, but tracks have to be downloaded individually. Music tags can have errors.

Several years ago, I began to reinvest back into my own music collection, and reject the rent-to-never-own model (Apple Music). It has been a rewarding experience. I'm pretty much caught up now.

But I do still have my old 2013 MacPro! I wiped it clean, installed Linux Mint, and now run my Jellyfin Media Server on it. Streams music and movies just fine. Will never make that mistake again.
