Today is the birth date of Robert Mundell (1932 - 2021), arguably Canada’s most famous economist. Mundell received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1999 for his work in monetary dynamics and optimum currency areas, and is also referred to as the "father" of the Euro. Unfortunately he also pioneered #SupplySideEconomics embraced by President Reagan - lowering taxes to spur the economy.
