Ta-da! Sweet Potato Chipotle Chili was a great success. Never have I put so many ingredients into a cooked dinner entrée before. And also there were some I never used before. Now I’d be leery of doing anything at all different next time. And next time I will remember a few issues that took me forever but now that I know what to do, it will cut my time by half, I bet.

If anyone wants to know my tiny errors or,um, “changes” let me know in the comments. I have realized that it turns out there is more “heat” than I first thought. Either this accounts for my face getting a bit red/sweating/tongue burning OR I’m about to have a coronary! I’m a whitey white Irish-German woman whose entire family growing up considered that “spices” were only salt, pepper, paprika, parsley flakes, and those that go in pumpkin pie. Seriously, no onions or garlic, or fresh peppers even. Woohoo, I’m a winner tonight around here. #Chili #Food #Supper #SupperClub

I think if I ever go camping again, or if I ever restart Sage and Ember, my idea of a supper club, it's all just going to be Japanese experimentation and fusions. I seem to be really good at the cultural anthropology and appreciation of other people's cuisines, but then again I am a bohemian, so why would I not respect other people's cultures? Especially when cooking. Anyway, as a small town boy, I should open up a ramen shop, is what I'm trying to say.
