  1. @PeterLG @MsDropbear42

The #AddamsFamily was creepy and weird on the surface, but Charles Addams portrayed them as particularly wholesome and charitable.

The Addams are as #superversive as it gets.

  2. I spent today editing my first #Superversive #podcast episode which will publish tomorrow morning.

Took a while to get a hang of the tools, features, and workflow.

I’m still using Substack as the source and tried out for their AI-generated clips.

The outcome is a little #cybergrunge, but listenable, I think.

  3. Experiment in #DarkSocial:

Join a closed network to freely discuss #Superversive subjects.

    Discord: discord.gg/KyqHV3ZU

    Slack: join.slack.com/t/superversive/

What is the worst that could happen?

    We’re about to find out.

  4. The more I hear about subversion or anything subversive, relative to computers, culture, or democracy, the more conviction I have in branding Superversive.

  5. A Hacker’s Mind was a great read.

When I came across the term “countersubversion” near the end, it struck me as a double-negative.

I’d been using the term “#superversive” to describe my professional approach for a positively subversive narrative.

It made me pull the trigger on appropriating the term as a professional brand:

  6. @Stybba3019 🔥🙏

It makes me intrinsically satisfied to learn that the contents of a years-old folder can generate joy in humans across the intrawebs.

  7. I just finished "A Hacker's Mind: How the Powerful Bend Society's Rules, and How to Bend them Back" by Bruce Schneier.

He writes about #hacking as a subversion of systemic norms, expectations, and designs.

In the last couple of chapters on AI, he uses the term “countersubversion.”

My own personal label for the concept: #Superversive

  8. subaltern counterpublic

    - conceptualized by Nancy Fraser (1997)
    - parallel discursive arenas where members of subordinated social groups invent and circulate counterdiscourses,
    - these permit them to formulate oppositional interpretations of their identities, interests, and needs

  9. @algernon I’d call you a Cynic, but in the #ancientgreek context of calling it like you see it in public, which I respect as #superversive 🫡
