Did you know that #Germany is #superstitious enough to leave out number #13 from #law books?
Germany codifies its laws for social security in a series of books called "Sozialgesetzbuch" (social code book).
Book XII (12) on social welfare is followed by Book XIV (14) concerning support for victims of societal damage.
The latter was established in 2024 & there's no Book 13.
The skip was decided due to #victim advocates worrying about bad luck.

Trying this for tomorrow's dinner. It's kind of odd for me to make a #newyear good-luck meal. Our diet is #flexitarian ; we don't eat much meat, and it's usually chicken or fish if we do. As an #atheist, I also wouldn't say I'm #superstitious, but I am pretty sentimental and enjoy traditional/ritual. Also, black-eyed peas. 😂
Anyway, this could easily be made #vegetarian or #vegan if desired. First time making it so I can't vouch for it, but it seems hard to mess up!
