In its decision on #immunity, #SCOTUS ruled that #Trump could not face #criminal charges related to any of his interactions w/ #DOJ ofcls, finding that a president’s dealings w/the #Justice Dept were part of the core *official* duties of his office.

At least part of the #evidence against Shvartsman came from a CI for DHS, court filings show: in one March 2023 meeting w/the informant & an associate, Shvartsman mentioned a friend who owned a bank in Dominica & made bridge loans to #Trump Media. -

The 3rd #defendant, #DeOliveira, property mgr at #MarALago, was charged for the 1st time in the #SupersedingIndictment. He was to enter his plea Thurs to 4 counts for his alleged role in a scheme w/ #Trump & #Nauta to delete #SecurityFootage revealing MAL workers moving boxes of govt materials that feds had already demanded be returned.
#DeOliveira was not #arraigned bc a FL-based atty had not yet notified the court they are representing De Oliveira — a req for #arraignments in So FL fed courts. -
Woodward is #counsel of record for #Nauta, & for some period of time also #Taveras — it’s unclear if he will continue. Many details in the #SupersedingIndictment leave the strong impression that Taveras is cooperating w/the #SpecialCounsel in some capacity — particularly the evidence surrounding his alleged convos w/ #DeOliveira about the server.
“This is not rocket science,” Gillers said. “You can’t represent a cooperator & someone fighting an #indictment [like Nauta] in the same transaction.”

Prosecutors in the office of the #SpecialCounsel, #JackSmith, had been investigating #DeOliveira for months, concerned by his communications w/an information technology expert at #MarALago, Yuscil #Taveras, who oversaw the #surveillance camera #footage at the property.

…in late June of last year, #DeOliveira went to see #Taveras — who is identified only as #Trump #Employee4 — & told him that “‘the boss’ wanted the server deleted,” referring to the computer #server holding the #SecurityFootage.
“What are we going to do?” the #indictment quoted De Oliveira as saying, after Taveras objected & said he would not know how & did not think he had the right to do so.

The team of fed prosecutors working under #SpecialCounsel #JackSmith is currently prepared to add… “30 to 45 charges”… to the 37-count #indictment brought against #Trump on 8 June, either in a #SupersedingIndictment in the same FL court or in a different federal judicial district. In either case, they would do so using #evidence against TFG that has not yet been publicly acknowledged by the #DOJ, incl’g other #recordings prosecutors obtained which reveal Trump making #incriminating statements.
