  1. Why wont this #SuperMajority party legislate a #Tax on #GasSuperProfits when the passing of the bill is handed to the Govt on a silver platter? All that is required to fix the budget, to provide the required #SafetyNet social services and more is a #SimpleYES and it’s done. THe chances of those progressive legislations being overturned by the opposition is NIL That is unless #SpinelessAlbo persists in his #HateCampaign against the #Greens which would effectively feed a #rebellion at the next election leading to unpredictable results. I’m stupid, and I can see that coming Albo! Wasting the opportunities given to you by the electorate to shape an Australia that cares for all Australians.

    “Speaking on the Australia Institute’s Follow the Money podcast, Greens leader, Senator Larissa Waters, said the party’s new “Tax the 1%” campaign was aimed at securing major reforms that target ultra-wealthy Australians and gas exporters.” (Source: thepoint.com.au/news/260512-if)

  3. 3️⃣ 🔢 THE SUPERMAJORITY RACE 🔢
    It’s not just a win; it’s about the 133 SEATS 🏛️. Tisza is chasing the 2/3 majority needed to overhaul the constitution! 🛠️ Watch the "Electoral Bonuses" from ethnic voters—Fidesz still has a 4-6 seat safety net 🛡️. #ConstitutionalBattle #199Seats #Supermajority

  4. 3️⃣ 🔢 THE TWO-THIRDS DREAM? 🔢
    It’s not just about winning—it’s about the 133 SEATS 🏛️ Tisza is aiming for the "Supermajority" to undo the last 16 years! 🛠️ But watch out: structural "bonuses" (ethnic votes & minority seats) could still give Fidesz a 4-6 seat safety net 🛡️ #ConstitutionalBattle #133Seats #Supermajority

  5. Let's start with SUPER top secret, not foolin' at all, #Antifa but NOT antifa (😉!) #Project2026! Operation: #RetakeTheHouseAndSenate. And giving the #American people a good goddamned reason to vote #Democrat again now and for as long as they can UTTER the name "Trump"? I call it a #SuperMajority

  6. When speaking to supporters from the swing state, where both #Trump & VP #KamalaHarris have doubled efforts to capture the #election count in Nov, Trump lamented the criticism aimed at #SCOTUS#conservative #supermajority & said it should be “illegal.”

    “They were very brave, the #SupremeCourt. Very brave. And they take a lot of hits because of it,” Trump said. “It should be illegal, what happens.“

    If there are questions regarding the results of an election (legitimate or not), the current Rep remains in power until the issue is resolved (a mini-coup if you will.)

    #Republicans did this in 2009 when #Obama won a #SuperMajority in the #Senate.

    Sen Norm Colson disputed Al Franken's victory over him in the Senate to deny #Democrats a SM for as long as possible. After 4-5 recounts resulted in Franken's lead GROWING, Colson was finally forced to give it up.

  8. The need for a #Democratic majority in the #House and either a #SuperMajority in the Senate (or abolish the #filibuster) has never been as necessary or crucial at any point in history.

    This #RunawayCourt MUST be investigated & prosecuted! The court itself MUST be reformed, the #Chevon ruling overturned, and normalcy returned to #TheConstitution before we turn into a full-blown #BananaRepublic.

    Yes, #Biden must win, but a #Democratic controlled #Congress is JUST AS IMPORTANT (if not more.)

  9. Since the start of this year, Danielle Allen has been making the case that it’s time to renovate our democracy.

    But the very idea presumes several things. These include:

    (1) that constitutional democracy is good for human beings;

    (2) that we should want to keep and improve the one we’ve got;

    (3) that long-term work on the health of our democracy is worthwhile even as we face the near-term stress of a pretty unpalatable upcoming presidential election; and

    (4) that change is possible.

Several questions have cropped up repeatedly that touch on those underlying propositions.

    Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

  10. For me, the single bleakest data point about the health of our society concerns a difference across generations in that sense of attachment to democracy.

    As political scientists Yascha #Mounk and Roberto #Foa have reported in a few different guises, there has been significant 🔸generational decline in 🔸how people value democracy.

    In the starkest formulation, made in 2016, roughly 70 percent of Americans in the generation born before World War II consider it very essential, while not quite 30 percent of Americans who are now about 40 and younger do so.

    This finding occasioned controversy, but the points about decline of young people’s attachment to democracy are robust.

    Among those of us who have not been radicalized, on both sides of the aisle, there is work to do to forge a cross-ideological #supermajority.

First of all, people have to believe such a supermajority is possible.

Happily, the evidence abounds, especially in the results of state ballot #initiatives.

    These are decided with cross-ideological supermajorities or near supermajorities voting in favor with surprising frequency.

    Here are some examples:

    🔹Legalization of recreational marijuana (2020): New Jersey, 67 percent;

    🔹legalization of recreational marijuana (2022): Maryland, 67 percent;

    🔹legalization of medical marijuana (2020): Mississippi, 74 percent;

    🔹restoring voting rights to those who have completed felony conviction (2018): Florida, 65 percent;

    🔹new state flag without Confederate emblems (2020): Mississippi, 71 percent;

    🔹right to repair in support of small auto shops (2020): Massachusetts, 75 percent.

Look at these decisions and you’ll see American supermajorities voting over and over again for #fairness, #inclusion and the person getting the short end of the stick.

    This is not only a ♦️cross-ideological supermajority ♦️in the making; it’s one with good, salt-of-the-earth values.

    This potential American supermajority for constitutional democracy is what we need to forge.

    No democracy can be stable without a supermajority supporting the basic rules of the game.

    Inside the bounds of those rules, we can fight like the dickens over specific policy questions. But the rules themselves require supermajority support for stability.

  11. A Tennessee resident put up #billboards across the state, several of which show #Governor #BillLee #dressed as a #female #cheerleader, to #mock the #governor and #state #Republicans after the recent passing of #antiLGBTQ+ laws in the state legislature where they hold a legislative #supermajority

  12. The Tennessee Expulsion Is a Glimpse of the Future

    Clearly, expelling two members of the Tennessee legislature was an explosive move and temporarily leaves their constituents no representation, at least until a special election is held.

    In fact, the state party is already raising money for the members to win back their seats.

    Meanwhile, there’s another story playing out 600 miles to the north that highlights another, potentially even more consequential use of hard-ball legislative power.

    While liberals were celebrating the election Tuesday of a #Wisconsin #Supreme #Court #justice who will tip the court to the left, voters in the state’s 8th senatorial district were sending #Republican #Dan #Knodl to Madison.

    That gives the GOP a Senate #supermajority and with it, the power to remove key officials through #impeachment — including judges.

    In late March, Knodl said he would “#certainly #consider” impeaching #Janet #Protasiewicz, the new state Supreme Court justice, though he was talking about her role as a county judge.

    Would Wisconsin Republicans impeach a justice simply because they don’t like the court’s rulings? Well, there is nothing hypothetical about how the state’s GOP legislature has used its power against other branches of government
