  2. The New Mexico Legislature is aiming to chip off a little more of our public records law. Here’s an editorial using local reporting as an example of why it’s a trash idea, and rubbishing the specious argument used to justify the proposal.

    The bill would shield all but finalists for executive gov jobs from disclosure, creating cover for bad selection practices and suppressing valuable news reporting.
