  1. Our world is complex and interconnected in unexpected ways. So be wary of those that promise it can all be reduced to one thing and that they know how to solve it. They are always wrong. Systemic problems need systemic thinking and a combined, shared, distributed effort to make changes that stick. Sorry to burst your bubble. But the earlier we understand this, the earlier we can become part of that change. #SundayThought

  2. The French pronunciation of vanille /vaˈnɪlə/ really expresses its deep magic, its complex taste and its deeply satisfying experience. That the English language took all the magic away and instead made vanilla /vəˈnɪl.ə/ synonymous with boring, usual, not special at all deprives the English speaking population of so much pleasure, experiments and curiosity.

My vanille is not your vanilla :)

  3. The UN (United Nations) and the WTO (World Trade Organisation) should declare that owning nuclear weapons means an automatic disqualification of membership. Problem solved. Think global, not national. #SundayThought #GoodNight #SolutionsNotProblems #OnePeople

  5. #SundayThought:

The central question that defines how you see #economics, #politicaleconomy, or even #politics more widely is this:

Are we here to serve the needs of the economy, or is the economy here to serve our needs?

Too often while purporting to believe the latter, policy is made as if the former was what is needed.

Only when we see markets & economic relations as the means to an end (our wellbeing) rather than an end in themselves will we really get to grip with our current problems!
