Na początku lipca na wielkie ekrany trafi „Zaproszenie” – najnowszy projekt w reżyserii Olivii Wilde.
Film, w którym wystąpili Penelope Cruz, Edward Norton oraz Seth Rogen, to słodko-gorzka opowieść o wypaleniu, rutynie i nieoczekiwanych konsekwencjach pozornie niewinnej, sąsiedzkiej kolacji.
Wyreżyserowany przez Olivię Wilde (twórczynię głośnego „Nie martw się, kochanie”) obraz balansuje na cienkiej granicy pomiędzy komedią a psychologicznym thrillerem. Fabuła skupia się na małżeństwie z kilkunastoletnim stażem – Joe i Angeli. Choć z zewnątrz ich życie wygląda na poukładane i stabilne, w rzeczywistości oboje zmagają się z przytłaczającą nudą. Sytuacja wymyka się spod kontroli, gdy zapraszają do siebie nowo poznaną parę. Swobodne spotkanie szybko zamienia się w ryzykowną, pełną napięcia grę, w której na jaw wychodzą głęboko skrywane pragnienia.
Festiwalowy sukces i entuzjazm recenzentów
Produkcja ma już za sobą światową premierę podczas festiwalu Sundance, gdzie spotkała się z bardzo ciepłym przyjęciem. W agregatorze recenzji Rotten Tomatoes film utrzymuje wynik powyżej 90 procent pozytywnych ocen od krytyków.
Dziennikarz branżowego magazynu Variety porównał „Zaproszenie” do klasyki, pisząc, że obraz wygląda tak, „jakbyśmy oglądali Kto się boi Virginii Woolf? przerobiony przez Woody’ego Allena na Mężów i żony”. Z kolei recenzenci The Guardian nazwali projekt „długo oczekiwanym zaproszeniem do naprawdę inteligentnej komedii dla dorosłych”.
Tytuł zadebiutuje w Polsce dokładnie 3 lipca, a za jego dystrybucję odpowiada Monolith Films.

David Alvarado won the Festival Favorite award at the Sundance for “American Pachuco: The Legend of Luis Valdez.” The documentary was a portrait of the playwright who used his artistic abilities to help his childhood friend Cesar Chavez deliver a pro-labor message to farm workers around California. Then earlier this week The New York Times published a bombshell report in which multiple women accused Chavez of sexually abusing them when they were as young as 12.
