#PennedPossibilities 42 — What does your MC want their retirement to be like?
Enki wants to go back to his ziggurats to be pampered by his priests and worshippers. He wants to party and get laid. #Enki #Slipstream #SumerianMythology

#WritingWonders 7.16 — How comfortable are you with writing kissing and/or intimacy scenes?

Perfectly comfortable. I’ve written all sorts of explicit erotica before. That being said, even though my current manuscript features a fertility god with an enormous schlong, even though there are mentions of angels fornicating with cattle (inspired by the Apocrypha), there are no actual sex/intimacy scenes. #AmWriting #Mythology #SumerianMythology #BooksOfEnoch #Apocrypha #slipstream

#WritingWonders 6/5: What is the meaning of your MC's name? Does it fit their personality?

The closest known translation of Enki means “lord of the earth.” It’s not the most apt of names. He’s more like a conduit of water and is a patsy. #Enki #AmWriting #SumerianMythology #Mythology

#WritingWonders 2 May: "What is your favorite side character's relationship to the MC? do they get along?"

Anzu is basically the dude with a car. Enki gets transported by him to various places because Anzu can fly and Enki only travels well on his own in water. Anzu is totally Enki’s bro. He’s a teasing sort of friend with major dude-bro energy. #mythology #slipstream #SumerianMythology

Share 3 fun facts about your favorite side character.

Anzu likes to carry a bucket around wherever he goes. He is the god of wind. He is part eagle and part lion. #mythology #WritingCommunity #Sidekick #SumerianMythology

Is your MC responsible for anyone else?

Only everyone. He knows he is the one fated to cause the Great Flood. #Enki #Mythology #SumerianMythology #SFFWriters

#Writingwonders D8: Sounds heard on a typical day

Gurgling water. The conversation of fish. Paeans sung by the priests. The sounds of sex. Oh, the joys of being the god of water and semen. #Enki #mythology #SumerianMythology #SFFWriters #Slipstream

#writingwonders D4: MC POV, What do you envy about your best friend?

If anything, it’s his ignorance as to what’s to come. Ignorance is bliss. Enki can’t live his carefree life knowing that the Great Flood is coming. #WritingCommunity #Slipstream #Mythology #SumerianMythology #Enki #SFF #GreatFlood

#WritingWonders Day 2: What's your MC's theme song?
Since my main character is Enki, it has to be this. https://youtu.be/sF5cnu4JpN4 #Enki #SumerianMythology #mythology #AmWriting

Relevant to my book-writing interests, and highly entertaining. Enki is basically the god of accommodations for disabled people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxR8YYId4lE #SumerianMythology #Mythology #Enki #WritingCommunity #Gods #CreationMyth #Disability
