Finished the bulk of moving my (102) repos from (selfhosted) #Gitlab to (selfhosted) #Forgejo. Oldest commits are > 25 years, and has taken the journey #CVS -> #Subversion -> Gitlab -> Forgejo.
Now I just need to update #pom locations for ~30 projects and #CI for ~20. Not looking forward to that.
I also hope that some of the missing features will be included in Forgejo soon – its #runner system is not ready to run on modern infrastructure (no k8s compatibility) and its site publication has weird kinks (to the point I avoid it altogether).

I'm old, so I started out using #Subversion for my code version control. Switched to #Git when I was a postdoc. I liked #GitHub when it first came out. I thought it would be a good ecosystem.
Then #MicroSlop bought it and it's been downhill since then. I used to keep a pull of each repository when I remembered to do it. Since I have #ForgeJo on my #HomeLab, today I setup up pull mirrors for all the repos.
If the account on GitHub goes kablooey, I'll still have the repos backed up automatically
