yesterday at a 2nd hand store, i got this #architecture book about american chain restaurants. the cover design is so perfect & irressistable, i had to get it!
although they are everywhere in america and totally dominate many landscapes, chain restaurants are usually not considered notable for their architecture (by me, specifically).
anyway, i wanted to see what this book was all about. what *is* there to know about why fast food places look the way they look?

here in the #Chicago burbs, you can live here for 20 years and *still* learn of a new suburb that you've never heard of (and forget about knowing where it might be). the sprawl is just so big...it can feel neverending...
