I can’t make these concerts but it is extremely important that #Albany and #Selbyville Mastonauts who enjoy amazing and queer-positive pop-rock get to these shows please. My favourite two bands and attending is not in the cards for me. Emojis go here.

Musical Interlude: Local-to-me band Sub-Radio (from Northern Virginia) is a legit band, but they are also becoming noted for their impish sense of humor and Weird-Al-worthy song parodies that they started recording during COVID. Here's one of my favorites, for those evenings when you just don't feel like going out...
"Don't Wanna Dance with Nobody," performed by Sub-Radio.

I had the most amazing experience tonight. The entrance to the bar was hidden in an alley and the bands literally played underground! As the night went on, we progressively got closer and closer to the stage until I was standing nearly at the very front. #Cinders played first. Then #Moontower. Then #SubRadio. It was so loud and awesome and I danced and sang! I had a really great time. 🥰
…… does anyone else hear a high pitched sound like a thousand crickets right now‽

We now have the complete song! 🥰
“Whatever your gender is, I’m gay for you” 🤣 🩷💜💙

Don't look down
Higher than Nirvana
We can dance it out
To Janet & Madonna
I don't fall in love
Baby, I'm a jumper
'Cause you, you make it feel like
1990 something
You make it feel like 1990
🎵 - Sub-Radio - Past Selves EPA band of guys who are at least 10-15 years my junior make music that speaks to me... I guess because the 90s were my formative years.
Most gay people live with a kind of "Peter Pan Syndrome", & it's mainly because many of us spent the majority of our youth hiding our true selves.
In coming out & living authentically we find ourselves having to reclaim many of the milestones our peers took for granted.
We revel in this joy & who would ever want it to end. Sub-Radio's music plays to this; their music is fun & upbeat. It doesn't hurt they sing inclusive songs like "King of My Heart", a quintessential gay love song, & "Cool" a song about a trans acquaintance.
I really do love this band, they deserve to be so much bigger.
