Congratulations to Dr. Jessica Salas Navarro who successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, "Advancing Volcanic Gas Monitoring to Unravel Eruption Processes: Insights from Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, Costa Rica" (supervisors John Stix (McGill Univ.) and Maarten de Moor (OVSICORI, Costa Rica).
They monitored summit plume gas compositions, remotely-sensed total SO2, and seismic/infrasound signals.
