YouTube channel Ryan's Edits did an interesting cut "The Doctor experiences a lapse in memory" between #StarTrekVoyager episodes #AuthorAuthor and #Tuvix, that implies that perhaps #Janeway deleted his memories of the events regarding Tuvix, much like she did #LatentImage.
Or perhaps #TheDoctor made a snide remark at Janeway? ;) -

None of the familiar faces (and I suspect that will eventually include #Picard himself) are here for the full ride, are they?
So far I've seen way too many of the #StarTrek #TheNextGeneration and #Voyager characters being used as cheap cameos, and either getting killed off, or sent off to do their own thing again...
It's probably supposed to be #fanService, but to me it feels more like a *dis*service...

And #Data is not the first example of it in #StarTrek's history. I guess if you look at how the #EmergencMedicalHologram Mark I AIs were turned into plasma scrubbers in #STVoyager's "Life Line"², it shows that the Federation has a hard time accepting that #ArtificialLifeforms can grow beyond their programming and become sentient, such as the Doctor.
