  1. I made these beads at the torch using transparent red and topaz glass, arranging the red beads to one side, and topaz to the other. The focal bead is red glass encased in clear, with fused gold mica on the surface. Handmade glass art from my studio.

    It's here (copy & paste link): ko-fi.com/s/0e84bd8cdb

  2. Sometimes, when working on a larger piece, I pause for a bit and just make something else, like a random bead, pendant, or sculpture. This is a large, thick pendant bead with a core of fire engine red opaque glass, and marbling in other opaque colors, including teal, orange, grey, beige and yellow. I've mounted it on brass wire, before suspending it from a faux leather cord. #glass #beads #handmade #lampwork #glassart #glassartist #glassbeads #glasspendant #studioglass #artyoucanwear #athensohio

  3. Here's a little something I made at the torch, now in my Ko-fi shop. Various shades of opaque red and orange-red, with the large focal bead rolled in shades of blue enamel while white hot. You can find it here: ko-fi.com/s/1732aeeb9f #handmade #HandmadeArt #handmadejewelry #handmadebeads #handmadeglass #lampwork #torchwork #flamework #glass #beads #glassbeads #glassart #glassartist #studioglass #artyoucanwear

  4. Friday fun: Lentil shaped opaque glass pendant. I used light sky blue glass, manipulating the hot glass with brass tools. Why brass? Because the copper in the brass, combined with the slightly "dirty" flame from a hothead torch, interacts chemically with this blue to form the rust red splotches. Strung on faux leather with silver wire, spacer beads, and lobster claw clasp

  5. Another little something simple: opaque green and orange-red beads I made on the torch, along with brass pendants I made by cutting, annealing and stamping the metal. 6. Here's a little something I made recently. A 19-inch long necklace of clear glass beads I rolled in colored enamels while white hot, then encased in more clear glass. 7. I've been taking lots of work out of my Etsy shop and putting it into my Ko-fi shop. So the next several things I share with you will be links to work now in my Ko-fi. And, of course, if you really like any of it, feel free to make a purchase there or become a supporter for as little as $3 per month. Here's a new pair of hot glass bead earrings: ko-fi.com/s/fa229ca260 #Handmade #MastoArt #Glass #Studioglass #studioart #artyoucanwear #lampwork #beads #glassbeads #earrings

  8. This is very similar to a piece I created and posted here a couple of weeks ago, using the same baking soda technique, but I used a wider and brighter range of colors. Overall, I like this one better than the previous example. It's in my Etsy shop now (link in my profile). #handmade #glass #hotglass #lampwork #torchwork #artyoucanwear #handmadeglass #handmadebeads #lampworkjewelry #beads #studioglass #artglass #etsyshop #etsyfinds #necklace

  9. A while back I posted a video showing the effects of baking soda on lampwork soda-lime glass. Well, here's a finished piece in that technique. Note the wide range of surface textures and color blends. This is 18 inches long and in my Etsy shop now: etsy.com/listing/1794464717/ha #lampwork #torchwork #hotglass #handmade #ArtYouCanWear #glassart #studioglass #MastoArt

  10. I've just finished this, which is directly based upon ancient Hellenistic and early Roman "evil eye" beads. I've used Murano glass, of course, to make the components. The focal beads is transparent dark violet, the other beads transparent cobalt blue, and the "eyes" opaque yellow, teal and dark red. 11. Thank you so much to everyone who visited my space at yesterday's 38th Annual Sheep-to-Shawl Festival at the Willamette Heritage Center here in Salem. What a great way to close out my last show in Oregon before relocating! Here are a few of the items I sold to the very engaged and enthusiastic visitors. #HotGlass #GlassArt #GlassArtist #ArtYouCanWear #lampwork #torchwork #flamework #handmade #buyhandmade #shoplocal #shophandmade #pastpresentarts #ChristofMaupin #studioart #studioglass

  12. These bracelets are not in my Etsy shop, but I'll have them and much more {bracelets, necklaces, earrings, wine glass charms, loose beads, and more), at my final 2 shows in Oregon:

    * Saturday, April 27, 10 AM-4 PM Salem Etsy Team Spring 2024 Handmade Market. Scottish Rite Center.
    * Saturday, May 4, 10 AM-4 PM Sheep to Shawl Festival. Willamette Heritage Center.

  13. And now for something completely different! This eclectic piece features sculptural "beads" I made at the torch, all with applied silver leaf, an enameled copper pendant, and more pendants of hammered bronze with concentric designs. Definitely different, but fun to make. And I know someone out there is going to want this. 14. If you follow me, you know I don't do special work for holidays. I make what I want to make, not what other people want me to make, and I don't conform to the algorithms. But since I'll be working on some sculptural pieces the next few weeks, I thought I'd do some hearts. The one on the chain will be in my Etsy by week's end. #beads #glass #jewelry #pendant #hearts #heartofglass #hotglass #glassartist #glassart #studioglass #studioart #lampwork #lampworkglass #lampworkbeads #oregon #pnw
