📍Dr. Suleiman Haboush University (Rapenburg 73, #Leiden)Today, #LeidenUniversity holds an annual lecture to commemorate Dr. Rudolph Cleveringa, who gave a famous lecture in honor of his Jewish colleague and in protest of the Nazi occupation on November 26, 1940.
Yet, while claiming to celebrate the scholar who stood against the Nazi occupation and #genocide, Leiden University remains complicit in perpetuating ‘israel’s’ occupation and genocide - including #scholasticide - in Palestine.
Leiden University’s silence is a grave betrayal of Cleveringa’s lessons. By staying complicit genocide, occupation, and the violent denial of a people’s right to self determination, LU is exploiting and defiling Cleveringa’s legacy.
We protest today to call out Leiden University’s hypocrisy and complicity. No research project can justify working with institutions complicit in occupation and genocide.

Today marks the establishment of the fourth encampment at the University of Amsterdam. We have reclaimed the university in the name of freedom fighter and political prisoner Walid Daqqa, and all Palestinian imprisoned comrades in Israeli prisons, as well as in the Netherlands, and beyond.
Daqqa was martyred on the 7th of April, after 38 years of imprisoned, but his resilient spirit will never die! Context: Deze foto is een screenshot van een filmpje nadat een persoon provocerend met een vlag van de staat Israël de pro-Palestina-actie bij de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam kwam verstoren. Deze jonge studente liep mee met de groep mensen die de provocerende persoon probeerde weg te sturen. The Al Azhar Encampment was set up in Utrecht University’s Drift Courtyard at Wittenvrouwen Straat with a focus on educational program - on learning at what was supposed to be a university.
And yet the university has locked the doors to the courtyard, trapping the students and preventing a program of lectures and poetry readings. Cops called by the university and sent through the building towards students, which have been excessively and shockingly violent every single past time they were called. Having a support demo enables us to film police brutality and show the students that they are not alone. We denounce all complicity in genocide!
