CW: ST:SNW S4E4 Spoilers
Oh. My. Stars.
It’s a noir story. It’s a noir story set on a Klingon occupied world so that it looks like a Nazi occupation story. In black and white.
The best. #STSNW

CW: ST:SNW S4E4 Spoilers
Season 4 is the BE-E-E-EST!!
Look at these shots!
The only thing I did was stay lazy on the couch and not center them properly. That’s some gorgeous cinematography.

I'm watching Star Trek: Strange New World, season 3, episode 4, “A Space Adventure hour,” and I'm reminded why I don't miss holodeck episodes.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds ... -
I know, I'm 6 months behind on Star Trek Strange New Worlds season 3, but I just watched the holodeck episode, and I absolutely loved it! 😄
It had so many little details and references, and was very meta. It reminded me a little of the Wormhole Extreme episode of Stargate SG-1 too. Especially on the silliness of the show within the show.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is on TV here in The Netherlands for the first time! Ok, it's not Lower Decks, but still: yay. I have not seen it before, e.g. it was never on Netflix (and I don't do vpn/torrents anymore). It started last Saturday, two episodes each Saturday from 20:00 to 22:00 on Veronica. Episodes 1 and 2 can be replayed via your TV subscription or geoblocked via https://www.kijk.nl/programmas/star-trek-strange-new-worlds/hA0BPL4jTLm
First two episodes were fun! Oldskool Trek with modern twists. I'm hooked.

I'm not inclined to watch ST anime, but I'd watch a live-action Lower Decks!
(yup, that was a great episode!)

The only #Kirk I want to talk about is #JamesTKirk and the #STSNW finale! Wow!!!

2. No species would be culturally monolithic. I realize that when you only see a handful of members of a new species then you'll get limited insight. But for Vulcans (and Klingons too) we should see many more that aren't one-dimensional stereotypes. We saw a bit of that In Enterpise with the finding of Surak's katra but not since.
Doug is representative of that cultural depth we should be seeing in Vulcans instead of the usual clones..

Doug the Vulcan is more believable than Pike et. al. as Vulcans.
1. Sure they were turned into biological Vulcans but where did they get the decades of training that Vulcan children and young adults go through to get that much control?

CW: ST:SNW Possible Spoilers
I finally got around to watching the latest episode. Of course it immediately reminded me of the film ENEMY MINE, and the TOS episode THE ENEMY. I didn't realize it was the Metrons until they appeared, at which time I said "The Metrons" out loud and got where they were going with the episode. Then I got goosebumps and a bit emotional.
For me easily the best episode of the current season, and one of their best eps yet.
