I love that my hubby goes along with my curated television viewing themes. Tonight is SciFi night (#Andor and #STSNW), tomorrow night is Chef Night (#MasterChef and #TheGreatBritishBakeOff). Sunday nights are our #Edwardian nights (#EdwardianFarm and #GuildedAge or #DowntonAbbey).

Watched last night.
Every Spock-Christine romance sub-plot, I'm afraid if its going to respect TOS continuity & characterizations. But they skirt the line okay-ish on that front.This particular episode, I think some of the ambiance and style really nailed retro-futuristic 1960s vibes.
Also, outright or heavily implied connections to:
* TOS: What Are Little Girls Made Of?
* TOS: Squire of Gothos
* TNG: Q -
Una Chin-Riley is on the left portrayed by Rebecca Romijn. She was also portrayed by Majel Barret in the original pilot. William Riker is on the right portrayed by Jonathan Frakes.

Finally got around to watching the Strange New Worlds/Lower Decks crossover episode "These Old Scientists", we laughed (Boiler!), we cried (poor Chapel!) and when it was done, we watched it a second time. It was note perfect and made with love.

Sorry, but what were they thinking dancing like that - slow motion swinging of the arms, etc? This should've been a huge broadway number with people actually dancing in sync!

#Middleground opinion:
I didn't like #STSNW #SubspaceRhapsody at all, but whatever, I'm glad it was made, as from user reviews and toots I saw it seems quite a few people really enjoyed it.
But what I dislike way more is the tone quite a few people use when expressing their dislikeness about the episode on the net.

I got all caught up on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last night, and I have to say the cross over episode was funny as frick. If you have not seen it yet, you are going to love it.
Funny part is I am not a fan of Star Trek: Lower Deck, but after this episode I may go back and actually watch it.
Too bad ST:LD got cancelled (1 last season from what I read)... It's probably way better than I give it credit for. -
