I got invited to a jam at a drummer’s place and he told me to “bring [my] bass and maybe a couple of tunes you’ve written” and I did, and the cast of characters that showed up was nothing short of incredible and they played the shit out of my pieces and I’m kinda floating a little now… #jazz #bass #bassist #doublebass #stringbass #composer

The 3DMEs are nice because I can dial in how much (or little) ambient sound I hear, so I can get a little more of the top end of my arco playing in Band situations, while still getting good fundamental via the DI. Ah, excellent. I just talked my way into sightreading a concert tonight with a #windensemble I used to play with about 20 years ago. Some wonderful old friends, and a bunch of music I’ve never seen before. Should be fun! #doublebass #stringbass #bassist #windband #concertband
