#BikeStreak, Day 83: An 1.5km midnight ride on the #Strida to test the battery lights I bought for it. It was immediately clear for me that a pair of #Knog Big Cobber are perfect for it as "be seen" lights: https://www.knog.com/products/big-cobber-bike-light-set
The "to see" light and especially its mount point were less obvious: I used a #Lezyne USB LED headlight I already had. First mounted it to the seat tube (!) to point downwards, but the steering tube gave the expected shadow. Now it's mounted to a brake Bowden wire. 🤪

#BikeStreak, Days 78-81:
#78 (Mon): Another test ride with my #Strida, 2× around the block (1.2km): Even after tightening the rear hinge screw, it's still wobbly. Got some advice at https://www.stridaforum.com/t/new-vintage-strida-owner/4510/2
#79 (Tue): Normal commute, 8.1km
#80 (Wed/Picture): Planned a "just around the block" ride, ended up with riding through the whole quarter and through the Käferberg forest. 11.5km #ZurichByNight
#81 (Thu): Normal commute in the morning, slight deviation for groceries in the evening. 8.9km

#BikeStreak, Day 76 + #NewBikeDay: A short ride with my new vintage #Strida Mk1 through the quarter. It's a quite groaning #foldingbike with all those plastic parts. But it's also very light. Something's also creaking if I pedal rather strong, maybe it's the freewheeling which is not in the rear hub but in the bottom bracket 🤪, i.e. the belt + chainring always turn if the bike is rolling. Also found a loose screw that overrun when I tried to fasten it. Probably need to replace it.

#NewBikeDay #Nplus1: I bought another #foldingbike. But one much more wacky (and more wobbly 🤪) than a Brompton. It's a #Strida Mk1 from the late 80s or early 90s. Also British. More and especially more pictures later.
And no, I won't stop riding Bromptons. 😉

Friend of mine recently invested in 3D printer and I asked him to print a wall hanger for my Strida LT foldable bike. I got it yesterday and mounted it today.
I wasn’t sure how it will turn up, but it works and looks great. Most importantly, my commuter is now standing vertically without any risk of falling down.#cycling #bikestorage #Strida #StridaLT #foldablebike #smallspaces #bikestoragesolution #commuterbike #3dprinted #3dprinting #3dprintedhomeaccessories
