  16. At #Fens2024 tomorrow (Wednesday 26/June) - Check out our poster comparing how representations change in #hippocampus, dorsolateral #striatum, and #prefrontal cortex in rats making decisions as environmental complexity changes.

    U. Mugan et al. Poster number 211. In poster session 02: prefrontal decision-making

Some really cool results looking at interactions between decision-making systems!

  21. I'm actually really glad for this surprise ❄️ #Sneachta ❄️ day.

Some comments are putting #MetEireann on the defensive, but I really enjoy the reminder that we do not control everything. We don't know everything. There is room for unpredictability.

Sure, it can be a little scary, but it's a good exercise to get out of our collective comfort zone. The #ICCA says #ClimateChange is here; plan for more bumps on the road.

  25. "We report intracranial, subsecond measurements of #dopamine release in human #striatum measured, while volunteers..performed a probabilistic reward & punishment #learning choice task designed to test whether dopamine release encodes only reward prediction errors or..may also encode..#punishment..signals. Results demonstrate that extracellular dopamine levels can encode both #reward & punishment.. within distinct time intervals via independent valence-specific pathways"

  30. A little summary of #Neuroscience-related hashtags?
(Please add any you think of in answer and I’ll edit the list)

    .#NeuroArt
    .#Neuroscientist / #Neuroscientists
.#NeuroRat (yep, I’m pretty much the only one using this one)

    .#NeuroJobs

    The cell types:
    .#PlaceCells / #GridCells / #HeadDirectionCells / #SplitterCells … (give me more)

And then we have the brain regions:

    .#Hippocampus / #Striatum / #RetrosplenialCortex / #Cortex / #Cerebellum / …

    Bonus:
.# NeuroBuzz: once a post takes off, anyone can add it as an answer and then the author can edit it in the original post (but don’t add it when writing the original post, that’s cheating)
