Really fun time - I know nothing about birds, but people would jump in and point out a bird and help with identification. Good vibes. Neighborhood block party for Parking Day and opening of a new parklet by the cupcake shop. I managed to get zero photos of the official parklet, but got one of a student-designed and built temporary one. We really wanted to set up a mini parklet on our block but the approval process (described as “streamlined” by the city) involves a lengthy permitting process and something like $700 in fees. Anyway, it was a nice celebration! #TacticalUrbanism #StreetsAreForPeople
