Related... several years ago a street medic also asked me to write a game about #StreetMedics. I've been writing a lot about my own trauma, so it kind of fits with the theme of my current work.

I'd love to read stuff from street medics writing about their trauma, either in the form of fiction or non-fiction, just to start to wrap my head around what such a game could look like.

Also... folks should generally just have an idea of how fucked up shit can get and why street medics are often super traumatized and we should be making that as visible as possible.

It's natural to talk about using radios in a rapid response--after all #mutualaid groups such as #streetmedics are already using #GMRS radios. Make sure you're clear about the #RRT protocol for radio use before you go out. Listen first to the #RRT and the community's needs. Don't see this as another chance to "play radio".

Next Saturday we're teaming up with our buddies at Appalachian Medical Solidarity and the Asheville Bail Fund to host a discussion on abolition through the lens of healthcare with Dr. Ronica Mukerjee, co-editor of "All This Safety is Killing Us."

This discussion will examine the book as well as the impacts of over policing and deadly conditions at the Buncombe County Detention Center on our own community's health and well-being. Copies of "All This Safety Is Killing Us" will be available during the event, along with opportunities to support local grassroots efforts toward health justice. We hope to see you there!

It's really good news that this 👆 community defender was found not guilty, however there is another trial stemming from the same event that is set to start in about five weeks, and that defendant needs support.

Details are a bit scarce, but suffice to say the cops arrested a street medic while, again, keeping fascists at bay outside a drag show in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Le triple checking des infos me paraît nécessaire.

L'action de #StreetMedics, personnes bénévoles, est précieuse. Or elles achètent souvent elles-mêmes leur matériel.
