“Mitternacht” / MidnightI’ve been sharing full moon photos recently, and by coincidence, the photos I’ve taken close to midnight are also of full (or almost full) moons. Here are the Strawberry Moon of June 10 on a cloudy night in Brooklyn (11:28 pm) and the moon of September 9, just past the full Corn Moon, on a clear night in Idaho (12:56 am).

Tonight is the Full Strawberry Moon, so called because of the abundance of strawberries around at this time. If you have a lover or a love interest give them roses as this Moon is also known as the Rose or the Love Moon. The June Moon is also known as the Honey Moon bc it has a slight amber tint to it and it is also a time when honey bees are at their most active. This is were we get the term 'Honeymoon' a holiday taken after marriage.
