ICYMI: you can listen to my latest food column online! On Friday, it was all about tea and my chat with one of Canada's first certified tea sommeliers! Timely, too, as tomorrow's International Tea Day!

These routes are made for walkin'...and eatin'. And that's just what you'll do...
...on these local food walking tours. My latest CBCKW food column is all about exploring the edible and sippable spots on guided tours.
Be sure to wear your walking shoes and eating pants. 😋

The other day I was in Stratford and one of our stops was The Painted Baker, where I picked up one of his Irish scones for my post-broadcast breakfast.
Frankly, it's the best scone I've bought locally in ages (if not ever). Too many are stodgy, leaden, or trying to be a (American-style) muffin in wedge form. This...was beautifully buttery with a tender crumb.
Ate it buttered (although it didn't need it) and daubed with marmalade.

Why yes, being a food writer means I get to go to Stratford, ON for a story.
And why yes, that means I got to get my favourite choccies from Derek.
And why no, I don't know how two disappeared after these pics were snapped.

Watched a great little doc about how #StratfordON and #StratFest got through the pandemic. Looking forward to being back in the theatre this year.

A trip to Stratford, Ontario meant a stop at Songbird Fibres, an indie dyer whose work reflects the colour of birds. This is the Nicobar Pigeon. #IndieDyedYarn #IndieDyer #SongbirdFibres #StratfordOn #yarn #SockAddict #TwistedHanks #SockYarn @fibrearts @knitting
