Undoing a tie-down strap which had been looped over a roof beam (no load), the catch shattered, fired into the ball of my thumb, bounced off, hit my glasses, and travelled into oblivion.

I vaguely remember paying a bit more for these straps, thinking they were better quality than the ones with pressed metal catches.

One of the few times I'm glad I'm shortsighted and wear glasses.

I tried out an Amazfit Helio Strap, a $99 Whoop alternative that has no subscription.

It was nice, collected decent metrics compared to my RingConn.

The Zepp app was good.

But, I couldn’t get used to having something strapped to my right wrist. And I looked funny when wearing a mechanical watch on my left wrist also.

Plus, after 24 hours it left this dent in my wrist. The picture is half an hour after I removed it.
