CW: 🖖 Strange New Worlds S3 E10 🫤
How was the season finale of Strange New Worlds season 3 THAT stupid?! I might go as far as saying it is the weakest episode of the entire series.
- Nothing felt earned because there was so little setup and it moved too quickly.
- It was cheesy as hell.
- Why do we need an “evil” antagonist?! (DS9 did it better though IMO).
- Other Star Treks have done the time jump alternate reality plots much better (DS9 and TNG)… I don’t mind revisiting tropes when done well, this was not.
- I forgive this series most of the time for being super lazy about their “don’t worry about it, it will be fun 😜” loosely science fiction plot devices but OOF this was like the laziest Doctor Who level of “science” without the fun parts. I miss 90s trek’s techno babble and rules for the universe.
- At least it wasn’t a cliffhanger, I’d have been mad about the setup for next season if it was.
S3 was fun overall but also the weakest... I hope the show runners and writers are aware as they go into S4 and 5 production.

I seldom giggle and chuckle to such an extent. Fascinating.
Strange New Worlds S3E08, "Four and a Half Vulcans", is illogical, yet highly enjoyable.
