Oh dear. I finally got #StrangeHorticulture and installed it, just to test that everything was working smoothly. And before I knew it, I had finished the first two in-game days.
I love this type of "toss you into the deep end, let you figure it out on your own" gameplay. Looking critically, it might all end up a bit too linear, but for the moment it's done so well that I don't mind. A bit of a mix of #PapersPlease and #BookOfHours.
I wonder if I'm going to have to put Space Haven on hold until I've finished this...? Howlongtobeat integration on the GOG page says 5.5 - 9 hours - so yeah, looks like I'll wrap this up first. :D

Bounced off of #ChantsOfSenaar. It's got that Obra Dinn that I enjoy but the games atmosphere and art style just never grabbed me, and apparently that was a big reason why I love #ObraDinn, #Tunic and #StrangeHorticulture.
Oh well. I can see why others absolutely love it though, so if you're in the market for one of those, don't let me feelings put you off.

I've finally started playing #StrangeHorticulture and I'm incredibly impressed. I had no idea someone could make a game about indentifying plants and reading a map so utterly engaging.
This alongside #ReturnOfTheObraDinn are indicating to me that maybe I've got a thing for identification in videogames.

Strange Horticulture est un jeu d’exploration et d’enquête avec un brin de casse tête que j’ai trouvé fort sympathique. Un peu court et simple, puisqu’il ne se compose que d’un seul écran après tout, mais il est relaxant et assez amusant.
Et puis, on peut caresser un chat à tout moment, alors franchement je vous le demande, que pourrait-on vouloir de plus ?
