The real reason why the Lincoln aircraft carrier wasn't resupplied was that Iran blew up the resupply base in Bahrain.
And the crew had to endure horrendous conditions because they were short of provisions. The alternate supply base was over 2000nm away.
Finally they really didn't want to sail through the strait of Hormuz anyway even if Bahrain was available.
All this was glossed over by Hegseth.

The Strait Reality!
Professional Maritime Traffic watchers say that over the past month about 5M barrels of oil transited out of the Strait of Hormuz - that is about 1/3 prewar amounts.
There are ~ 70 large oil tankers that comprise the core fleet attempting routine runs in and out of the Strait.
~ 65% of the oil is going to China, with ~10% going to Russia. The IRGC announces it targeted a convoy of tankers being escorted by the U.S. Navy through the Strait of Hormuz
Two of the violating tankers were struck, and four others turned around immediately. The convoy attempted to use the illegal route near Omani waters this morning.
The IRGC says Iran continues to exercise full authority over the Strait of Hormuz, and that no vessel may pass without permission from the Persian Gulf Strait Authority.

The IRGC announce they are closing the Strait of Hormuz completely, and that all ships will be attacked.
According to a report from Axios, a US official has confirmed that the rules of engagement for American forces in the region have been changed. US forces are now authorized to strike "immediate threats" against ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, including IRGC fast attack craft or Iranian missile positions.

Restarting complex units like fluid catalytic crackers, central to maximizing jet fuel yields, requires days to weeks of careful commissioning and costs millions. Prolonged idling can result in permanent derating of capacity, not merely temporary offline status.
“Unfortunately the law of physics steps in. Pumps and pipes are sized for a minimum hydraulic flow. And we are talking about hundreds of pumps and thousands of pipelines in a single refinery.
