It's funny how your perceptions, and, well taste (or lack thereof) change over time. As an eight year old kid, this vehicle was literally The Shit for me. I mean, them pipes, triple carbs. Woof! Ed "Big Daddy" Roth was a bit before my time as I came along in 1968, but every elementary school kid knew about him in the mid-seventies. He built right-proper rods.

Fast forward five decades and I'm now an insurance broker who does fleet auto and is trained in risk assessment. That low cut windshield? Poor visibility. Those straight pipes on top of three carbs? Block vision, great way to run over some kid on a crosswalk. The open tops on the pipes? Comprehensive claim waiting to happen in the next rain shower IF the insurer will cover that, which I doubt. No way I'd own that dangerous, POS as an adult.

Growing up takes the fucking fun out of <em>everything,</em> I swear.
