Went to the 6th anniversary event for Sapwood Cellars today. There were 10 anniversary beers on for the event, and the ticket got you a small pour of each, and you took the glass home.

Got to meet up with some friends and drink some great beer.

#topplingGoliath Mornin’ Delight - should’ve got the tall pour - delightful indeed with rich coffee and maple 🍁 notes in a sweet full-body with a hint of vanilla on the finish.

Followed with a #surlyBrewing Darkness, always fabulous on tap, oak and chocolate with a bourbon finish.

Using stone Yorkshire squares for fermenting, to me it has a very yeasty nose and a mix of strong yeast and malt notes with mild carbonation. The hops noted don’t stand out to me at all.

I think I’ll stay state-side for my #Stouts.

Portage Brewing “A Great Northern Wind” Imperial Stout from Walker MN

Don’t over-chill or you’ll squelch the Caramel notes! Slight bitter and subtle chocolate, it’s a solid stout that develops nicely as it breathes.

Lest people think all I drink is #stouts I do like a good ale. #Fulton Lonely Blonde is a goto for a lighter draft! And it’s local too.

BUT why not? #LefthandBrewing Nitro Milk Stout isn’t fancy, but it’s DARN good! It’s got Guinness smoothness and a rich flavor with just the right balance of roast and bitter. Definitely a go-to bottle!
