Since then European Marine Energy Centre #EMEC a not-for-profit company here in the islands, has had wave and tide energy machines from all over the world testing on grid. I plug in my electric car and it’s marine energy coming down my cable! Love it! Looking out from my window, I see the crane barge for the latest wave energy device moored up, ready to sail… #Orkney #Stormpunk #hope

Marine energy, from waves and tides, is all go in this part of the world, and has been for decades… Despite the news, the rising sea temperature, I see hope in this rusting storm-riding hulk of a future energy machine… #EMEC #Lyness
