Auf der schottischen Insel #Eday kombiniert das #EMEC erstmals erfolgreich #Gezeitenkraft, #Batteriespeicher und #Wasserstoffproduktion in einem Energiesystem.
Eine #Gezeitenturbine liefert #Strom, der gespeichert oder direkt zur #Elektrolyse genutzt wird. So kann auch bei schwankender #Energieerzeugung kontinuierlich #Wasserstoff produziert werden.
Die Anlage dient als Testfeld für zukünftige synthetische #Kraftstoffe auf Basis erneuerbarer Energiequellen.

I plug in my electric car and it’s marine energy coming down my cable! Love it!
