Apart from #StormLilian on the 22nd (the remnants of #HurricaneErnesto), August was a rather boring month weather-wise. Warmer and drier than the 1981-2010 average, and dull but with high atmospheric pressure. #ukweather

#Oxford #OX3 looks like #StormLilian ripped a hole in my roof - did anybody else have #stormdamage last Friday (23.8.)? On the plus side, I managed to fit the pieces together, was a nice jigsaw. Hoping it will hold until I get it repaired professionally.

The Met Office has put out a weather warning for tomorrow afternoon for northern England.
Apparently Storm Lilian is on its way, and all I can really think of for some reason is the character "Lilo Lil" from the sitcom Bread, and I fully expect the streets of Liverpool to be lined with scousers tomorrow looking up at the sky and yelling SHE IS A TART!!!
