Today - after #StormDave has passed through - is a day of contrasts: heavy, squally showers of hail or sleet blasting out of dark clouds; or clear sunshine, even if still bitterly cold.

The #sheep have been shut in their shed all morning as #StormDave passes. Despite having full hay racks indoors they were desperate to get to their troughs to get their Rammaster and sugar beet pellets.

Häller upp dagens femte eller sjätte kopp kaffe och kryper ner under filten i soffan och lyssnar på det visslande ljudet från #StormDave som trycker mot de gamla handblåsta fönstren på huset. Lite mysigt faktiskt!

Campsie Fells have vanished behind white clouds.
Hailstones earlier this morning, now snow, contrasting with the green & yellow of the daffodils in the parental garden. It won't lie long at this time of year.

Wow! Tomorrow we get paid for using electricity from 23:00 tonight until 16:00 tomorrow. From 11:30 to 16:00 tomorrow we get paid ~ 10p per kWh that we use.

It’s late, it’s dark, it’s windy, it’s raining, and I’m in my pyjamas, but I might go out into the muddy fields to see if the #sheep have been smart enough to go in their shed overnight, as #StormDave starts to bite.(Being smart like that is not their forté).
