Judging from what I see on YouTube, it seems like in parts of the US these days one real danger of a #tornado is getting caught in the traffic jam caused by amateur #StormChasers. When I was in high school outside of Chicago, most people wanted to get *away* from those things.

Storms are spinning up. Cincy is under a tornado warning.

There have been 80-100 mph sustained winds for an hour in areas of North Dakota and northern Minnesota tonight. Unreal. Light or no rain in the high-wind areas in the influx behind the storms. Allegedly, there exist videos of people trying to stand upright in the winds.
The Paul Bunyan statue apparently has survived, for those of you on the edge of your seats.

There has been a strong line of storms tonight in Minnesota. Behind the line of storms is "a land hurricane" with 80-100 mph winds and a peak gust of 111 mph. Same for North Dakota, where there apparently was a death. The sheriff is talking with storm chasers and rescuers.

It's a moderately active day. The exciting part is that one of the storm chasers got a very cracked windshield and sometimes drives through downpours, tempting fate.

"HOLY CRAP!"
"Biggest tornado I've ever seen in my life! This is huge!"If you're in Pratt, Kansas, get underground or to the innermost room NOW!

60 mph winds with baseball-sized hail.
I was hit in the face by a baseball tossed at probably around 45 or 50 mph, while warming up a pitcher with my mask off. Get away from the freaking windows, people.

The AI bot that scans his chat for whatever seems interesting just started playing some funk, and they couldn't figure out how to shut it off. Eventually, it shut itself off.
I'm slowly warming to this bot.

Just to demonstrate the variety of content available on Teh Intertubes right now, from the video (game) streaming platform Twitch may I present DJ Tom Kench Music
He's a streaming DJ but right now following live Storm Chasers in Kansas and Texas
Just now "Confirmed tornado on the ground" (didn't catch it) No: "heading straight toward Fort Worth TX"
You can mute the music if its not your schtick
Here: https://www.twitch.tv/tomkenchmusic
Don't think this DJ is producing the Doppler radar overlays; hard to tell...

Ryan Hall has raised over $100,000 for storm victims in the past week, and has set a new goal of $200,000. There are more people willing to tolerate his smart-ass AI bot that I thought there would be.

You are really close to the tornado when the flying debris shatters your drivers side window.

Here's another storm chaser video host has a nice gaming chair, and is usually pretty mellow. When Max Velocity has other things to do, his stream kicks over to him.
I'm posting these links so you can perhaps subscribe to their channels, so when the 💩 hits the fan, you won't be caught out in the 🥶 . Or heat. The climate has changed, is changing, and that brings with it instability, the mother of terrible weather.
-
If you'd like your storm chasing video host to use fewer y'alls (Ryan Hall), there is always Max Velocity, who sounds like an old-school AM DJ.
It's going to get busy in the skies over the next 4 days. Kind of quiet today by contrast.
-
It has been identified as a tornado with catastrophic consequences. There is debris 16,000 feet in the air. "This will destroy well-built homes."
-
"We have a massive tornado - a massive tornado on the ground in Marion, Illinois!"
-
There are so many people hitting this stream.
"TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY!" is a mantra!
-
"I'd hate to see what it looks like. A huge, destructive tornado in Indiana. This looks like Meteorology 101 classic."
It's passing a Church of Latter-Day Saints church right now.
"I would categorize it as a severe, destructive tornado. If you're in its path, run, don't walk, to shelter!!"
