  1. Tulsa, Oklahoma.

From last night’s storm chase outside of Wichita, Kansas.

And it is the end of the Storm Chaser Coaching Founders Tour 2026. We drove from Wichita, Kansas to El Reno, Oklahoma today, with the hope that storms would fire to our west. They did not, and it didn’t look that promising to begin with.

Since Earl had checked out if his hotel room in Oklahoma City, he meandered around to the west, meeting up with the tour in El Reno. He joined us for lunch and then I decided to call it a day with chasing and join him. The tour officially ended a couple of hours later when no storms fired. There was less than a 20% chance of storms to begin with. There was a lot of wishful thinking.

The Storm Chasing Tour was absolutely fantastic, and I recommended the experience at least once for anyone that is interested in chasing storms. I learned a great deal on this excursion. I garnered a fantastic amount of information from those more knowledgeable than me when it comes to meteorology. After this chase tour I feel like I can make better, more informed decisions of my target destinations when I’m out chasing solo.

The tour group was fantastic. Everyone on the tour (all 12 guests) were enjoyable and pleasant. I hope to chase with at least some of them in the future. Social media keeps us all connected.

After leaving the tour in El Reno, Earl and I drove to Tulsa, where we have settled for the night. Tomorrow we drive to St. Louis where I’ll meet the people I work with in person for the first time. I’m excited about this prospect as well.

I’m really happy to be exploring life with Earl at my side in the Storm Rogue. As a quick aside, he got new tires for the Storm Rogue while I was on the chase tour, and it is driving like a dream again.

Life is too short to sit idly by and watch things go by while you’re at a standstill. Never stop moving, never stop exploring, and never stop experiencing.

I feel super energized again. This is the first time in 2026 I’ve felt the truly positive energy I’m always seeking.

It’s a good feeling to feel energized.

A few more shots from last night’s chase.

  3. Supercell.

I quickly put together a video of a supercell and amazing lightning we chased near Salina, Kansas yesterday evening.

I was a little hesitant to put up raw video with just an intro and a tag, as I tend to be a perfectionist with my video editing. This is a little experiment for the video channel.

I hope you enjoy experiencing Mother Nature.

  6. Almost Winter.

A little snow on Mount Lemmon, as seen from our backyard. I’m quite content with chasing just about any storm.

  8. Hope.

I was told Monsoon ‘25 was over. However, Mother Nature wants to remind us who is in control.

This will turn out to be a bit of dry lightning to the east of us, and nothing more. But having these alerts pop up from our roof mounted Tempest weather station still makes me smile.

  9. Never seen an actual storm chaser. Have you ever seen a tornado up close? Holy $#&%.
