The recent heavy rain across South West England has brought floods and other mayhem.

"Total water storage across the South West has now reached the level of the same date in 2022. There is still a way to go to reach last year’s level, and even further to go achieve the ideal of 100% full by the middle of March! In particular, Colliford Reservoir in Cornwall is only just over 3/4 full.
However, more help is at hand due to heavy rain caused by the recent passage of #StormChandra across the UK"

I did a 6K walk yesterday knowing I wouldn’t be going out today with #StormChandra 🌧️ I’m hoping that all this lousy weather will clear the way for some better sunny conditions in February. Or snow. Either is good.

#StormChandra is coming in properly now. It's been a noisy sleepless night. It'll be gusting around 60mph all day.
Ferry is cancelled (again) today. There's a backlog of islanders kicking their heels on the mainland, waiting for a boat with room to squeeze more cars on. Apparently that's Sunday for folk who were booked to come home today.
And there's a few folk stuck on the island unable to get home. They seem to be making the most of an extended stay.
