Samsung ha iniciado el despliegue del programa beta de One UI 8.5 para la serie Galaxy S25 en mercados clave. La actualización está fuertemente enfocada en mejorar la productividad y la integración del «Ecosistema Galaxy», incluyendo la función Storage Share para compartir archivos fácilmente entre el móvil, la tableta y el PC (Fuente Samsung Global).

Samsung ha lanzado oficialmente el programa beta de One UI 8.5 para su serie Galaxy S25 (incluyendo el S25, S25+ y S25 Ultra). La actualización está disponible en mercados selectos como EE. UU., Reino Unido, India, Alemania, Corea y Polonia, y su principal enfoque es mejorar la cohesión del ecosistema Galaxy, un movimiento que responde directamente a la sólida experiencia de «Continuidad» de Apple.

Novedades Clave de One UI 8.5:

• Storage Share (Compartir Almacenamiento): Esta es la función más importante a nivel de ecosistema. Permite a los usuarios ver y acceder a archivos desde su teléfono directamente en otros dispositivos Samsung (PC, tablet, TV) que estén sincronizados con la misma cuenta, eliminando la necesidad de transferencias manuales.
• Audio Broadcast: Utilizando la tecnología Auracast (Bluetooth LE Audio), el teléfono puede usar su micrófono como un sistema de megafonía, transmitiendo la voz del usuario a dispositivos de audio compatibles cercanos.
• Asistente de Fotos y Quick Share Inteligente: La edición de fotos ahora permite trabajar de forma continua sin tener que guardar cada borrador, lo que ahorra tiempo y espacio. Además, Quick Share mejorará la sugerencia de contactos para compartir archivos al reconocer rostros en las fotos.
• Protección Antirrobo: Se introduce una nueva función de seguridad llamada «Failed Authentication Lock» (Bloqueo por Autenticación Fallida), que asegura y bloquea el dispositivo si detecta demasiados intentos fallidos de biometría o contraseña.

Was ich besonders schätze, ist die Möglichkeit, die #Nextcloud-Instanz flexibel durch Apps zu erweitern. Auch gefällt mir, dass diese Erweiterungen kontinuierlich gepflegt und regelmäßig mit Updates versorgt werden

I've gone back to nextcloud on #hetzner #StorageShare Its just such a nice cheap and stable option, much easier than #selfhosting for me, and probably much cheaper when you consider power use + backups!

Received an e-mail from #Hetzner telling me that my #StorageShare of 1TB is full, so in order to check, I logged in to #Nextcloud which said that only 550GB were used. Hetzner's support told me to run the #OCC commands trashbin:cleanup and versions:cleanup, but that didn't help.

However, when I ran files:cleanup in order to clear the cache from already deleted files, the storage size suddenly decreased by 150 GB. 🤯

Wondering where the remaining 300 GB difference comes from, though 🧐

i need an adhd-proof but affordable (as in, broke college student) incremental backup solution for my computers, where do i even start?

i already was tenatively planning on making a nas, but i need to have some sort of backup software i can set it up wont immediately break if i forget to check if its working. preferably, i would want to atleast take routine backups of my desktop and thinkpad. maybe once in a while take a full, compressed, system image of each.

Decided to MacGyver myself some marker storage for my desk (once it dries) so I can keep them horizontal & make a pretty rainbow of colours as I swatch. Pretty sure swatching is going to take fooooorever.

I’ve been playing around with NextCloud as an alternative to my Google Drive storage. I’ve chosen Hetzner’s Storage Share, which is essentially managed hosting for NextClould.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to back up you NextCloud/Storage Share data to a third party provider? I’m aware they have their own snapshots, but I want some insurance policy in case of account suspension, bankruptcy, or even just me wishing to migrate to a different provider.

If I was self hosting I could just rclone to S3 or something like that, but Hetzner don’t offer ssh access to these, and self hosting seems a lot more expensive.

Any advice welcome!

@gme I never had such problem while renting a #StorageShare with #Hetzner. (untill a few days ago...) Have you asked their support for help?

Anybody familiar with #Hetzner #StorageShare (#Nextcloud)? It's a managed Nextcloud black-box hosted solution.

Users are unable to delete any file they create or upload regardless of their username or group membership.

Really really impressed so far with the #StorageShare service from #Hetzner. It's a managed #Nextcloud deployment. For the price it can't be beat!

Love the fact that I can add several custom domains to it too.
