Scchau dir @netcup an. Ich empfehle eine ARM VM mit #Nextcloud AIO mit #Borgbackup zu #Hertzner #StorageBox.

Wenn du dich gut auskennst, nimm als OS #CoreOS und #Podman Quadlets for Nextcloud.

I haven't done this in a while so today I sorted and counted my precious RC2014 modules. Noticed the socket for the crystal on the dual-clock module broke off, so I will need to fix this sometime.

The sixteen (16) modules seen here are the ones I don't use often, some of them being "duplicate" or backup parts.

I use empty "Ferrero Rocher" gift boxes to store those modules. Of course, I had to take over the burdening task of efficiently emptying those boxes from their original content ... 🍫

There are also another nineteen (19) modules being used by my Zed Pro setup and the machine that runs RC-BOX BBS.

So today's total count of modules (in use or in store) sums up to 35. Yes. I'm a little mad ... (or maybe a fanboi?!) ...

EDIT: actually, it's 36 - I forgot to count in the OLED module I once bought from @quazarsamcoupe

Mit #MountainDuck die #StorageBox als sftp im Finder zur Verfügung gestellt:
- Ein .lrcat (ca 1,46 GB) in ca. 2 Minuten zurück gesichert
- Ein anderer .lrcat (1,45 GB) in ca. 17 Minuten geladen

In beiden Fällen zeigte FritzBox gut ausgelasteten Download fast durchgängig an.

#Synology #HyperBackup Vermutlich beim Restore prinzipbedingt langsam und schwankend weil Dateien versioniert in vielen kleinen Dateiblöcken verwaltet werden?! Verschlüsselung kommt noch dazu

1,82 TB sind nun fertig hochgeladen. Vom 17.03. - 22.03.2024 lief der Upload (soweit ich Stichproben machen konnte) mit meiner vollen Leistung (ca. 40 MBit/s) durch.

Synology/Hyperbackup hat dabei irgendeinen „Trick“ geschafft, dass trotz kompletter Upload-Sättigung TV/Video-Streaming und sogar Video-Meetings sowie eine Happyshooting Video/Audio-Stream-Aufnahme problemlos möglich waren.

na, dann versuche ich mal so eine #StorageBox von #Hetzner … mit rsync soll ein #HyperBackup von #Synology aus möglich sein und über SMB Anbindung soll man mit dem HyperBackupExplorer direkt zugreifen können für einen Restore.

5 TB StorageBox kosten vergleichbar viel wie meine knapp über 1,8 TB derzeit bei Wasabi … #Wasabi hat vor Kurzem die Preise deutlich angehoben und daher… Mehr Platz fürs gleiche Geld UND eine Rechnung in Euro mit Mwst… ich bin gespannt

Nightly backup was running fine. 20mins for incrementally backing up 460 GB.

I will migrate Arqbackups over to Hetzner and give it all a try for a week before deleting the Wasabi buckets.

After playing around a bit the Synology NAS #Hyperbackup created the first #backup on #Hetzner #StorageBox.
