Bad news: the internet censorship bill disguised as a "kids' safety bill" has passed the Senate 91-3.
It is now going to the house.
What KOSA will do:
- mandate age verification through third parties, a practice that is ripe for exploitation
- tear apart LGBT+ resources by classifying them as "lewd"
- mandate censorship filters -- imagine not being able to upload shit because the filter thinks it is sexual, when it's not
- mandate censorship through various internet 'blacklists' that do more harm than goodWhat KOSA won't do:
- Protect kids from explotation or distressGet loud.
