«Questions as Flashback Tech»
In preparation for my #Stonetop #ttprg session, I wrote several questions to walk through a flashback sequence. I felt it was a rewarding experience keeping the story in the present, yet giving access to the past actions.

TFW you're uncovering a pile of character sheets and find your Stonetop character from ca. 2022....
Meredith was the local tavern keeper. She'd lost her arm in a fight a long time ago, and lived in a little utility room in the tavern. Her Crew were basically the roustabout "regulars" who came in for a rowdy pint every night.
I remember playing her, but had completely forgotten it was a #stonetop game. And I don't remember who I played with, just that it was online.

«Back to Powered by the Apocalypse»
Reflections and thoughts on running #Stonetop and thus revisiting #PbtA games, having remembered some of the past challenges.

Reading #stonetop #ttrpg and I appreciate the refresher of #pbta moves and framing. The books are chunky, which might normally chase me off, but I'm feeling the warm memories of face-to-face #dungeonWorld and the present reality of a likely face to face new game group.

You can now buy Stonetop!

"Stonetop is a “hearth fantasy” tabletop RPG set in an Iron Age that never was. The players portray the heroes of an isolated village near the edge of the known world. Their adventures focus on dealing with threats to the village and seizing opportunities. These aren’t rootless mercenaries seeking fortune and glory; they’re exceptional people, taking risks on behalf of their friends, family, and neighbors."

Once again, #Stonetop: Can someone please show me a #TTRPG – specifically an #OSR / #DND – book that has such cool, inspiring Minor & Major Arcana ( aka #magicitems )? Even when skimming through them, I want to adapt them for every #fantasy #ttrpg, they’re so much cooler than your +5 Unholy Avenger.

Signs and wonders are happening! #Stonetop, one of, no, if not my favourite #TTRPG crowdfunding project of recent years, is approaching the finish line, and the complete PDFs have been made available. #IronAge #Fantasy, which reminds me of #Runequest, but is based on #PBTA and offers numerous ideas.

#TTRPG #Stonetop is a fantastic beast! Even the #workisprogress is stunning. #PbtA
