  1. Eurasian Stone-curlew (Burhinus oedicnemus)—master of camouflage in dry, stony landscapes. Mostly nocturnal, rarely seen up close, but its eerie call reveals its presence at evening/night. Nicknamed "Dikkop" ("thick head") for its big round head and striking eyes.

    To help with the challenge in the previous picture, here's a picture of a stone curlew making a newbie mistake. It has cleverly blended in with the grey-brown pattern of the aggregate footpath, but then foolishly stood in front of a brightly coloured advertisement for beer... Possibly it's stoned.
