  9. Continuing this paused project started a few years ago… Meanwhile the Raspberry team released the #RP2350 which is a significant upgrade to the #RP2040, offering more power for signal processing.

    The PCB is populated with the SMD components and the lowest through-hole parts.

    I started the mechanical work. I only have a hand-held drill and as usual I struggle to place the holes right. 😬

    Before continuing soldering, I have to check if everything is fitting and vertically aligning well.

  10. A new pedal for a friend, this one is just an elementary #MIDI controller. It alternatively sends Start and Stop messages when the footswitch is pressed so he can run his #MPC with it.

    The microcontroller is an #RP2040 from a Seeed #Xiao board. For this project I had all the parts in stock excepted the MIDI socket and the 1590B enclosure. The circuit was simple enough to be implemented on a stripboard (with SMD ferrite beads on the copper side).

    Edit: I also had to bend the top of the poor LM7805 regulator to make it fit into the enclosure. 😅

  15. Another #GuitarPedal completed.

    A few years ago I designed a pedal with a complex effect (but just a single knob and an expression pedal as controls) for a guy but in the end that wasn’t what he was looking for and he didn’t pick it up. So I had this pedal stuck with me. 😑

    Recently a friend asked me for a long delay effect with a 15 second memory and the footswitch only muting the delay input (FX always on duty). It was an opportunity to #recycle the old pedal, based on a #DaisySeed board. So I drilled new holes in the enclosure to host 3 knobs.

    But wait, there’s more. ➡️
